Department EE – Meat Goats

  1. General Rules & Regulations

    1. Bucks will be brought in on day of show and returned immediately.

    2. Classes for Boer and Kiko Breeds

    3. All animals must be registered with respective breed associations.

    4. Animals with natural horns must be tipped.

    5. Full blood and purebred 15/16 or greater will show together.

    6. Percentage class ½, ¾, and 7/8 will show together.

    7. Exhibitors may enter no more than 2 animals per class.

    8. Commercial meat goats

      1. Classes open to any non-registered commercial meat goat (any breed or crosses).

      2. Any goat exhibited in 4-H/FFA market classes is not permitted to show in commercial classes.

      3. Exhibitors may enter no more than 2 animals per class.

      4. Animals with natural horns or disbudded may be shown without discrimination.

      5. Doe kids entered in 4-H/FFA market classes may not be shown.

      6. Exhibitors may use halters and collars.
