AG EXPO AND FAIR BABIES ON PARADE CONTEST

Washington Co. Ag Expo and Fair is holding a Babies on Parade contest on Monday, July 21, at 6:00 p.m.

To compete in this contest all babies must be residents of Washington Co. and must show proof of and have updated inoculations. Babies must not have

attained his or her 3rd birthday before Monday, July 21, 2008.

There will be two classes: 1) Birth - 14 months non-walking and 2)15 months -35 months walking.

All babies will parade in or with decorated carriages, wagons, strollers, push toys or ride on toys. However, motor-propelled or battery operated

vehicles are not allowed. Walking babies must walk as part of their decorated unit in order to be judged.

Each baby should have a 2 -3 minute narration to be read while on parade. Narration should include babies’ personal data as well as something about the

“theme” of their entry.

Judging is based on originality, which includes creative theme and clever use of materials and decorative costume, workmanship, and overall effect and

narration.

All babies will receive ribbons. Sponsors for 2008 are Cindy’s Sweets and the Washington County Pomona Orange.
